The Trip Distribution Tool is designed to assist in determining the trip distribution and assignment for project generated traffic.
TripTool.Triplet will appear below in a Java enabled browser.
The origin destination is quite large and can take a long time to scan when looking at TAZ with large numbers (so TAZ 700 can take several seconds to load)
Please be patient.

How to operate.

  1. Find your TAZ from the TAZ map.  Click here for an online TAZ map. Grta has recently added this online mapping functionality. If you have comments about this new addition to the DRI tools page, or suggestions on how it can be improved, contact the GRTA webmaster

  2. Select the TAZ zone number in the first popup menu.

  3. Select the date in the second popup.

  4. Select Residential / Non Residential in the third pop up.

  5. The first box is the limiting trip distance (default 10 miles).

  6. The second text box is the power (2 for squared).  This is used by the gravitational model as the constant of decay.

  7. The final box is the number of trips you  expect from your site.  The calculations can take a long time to complete.  Please be patient.

  8. The result will appear in the final text area after pressing calculate.  Cut and paste these into Excel® for your analysis.

If you can read this the your browser does not support Java applet plugins.
