Charlotte Nash
Nash is currently a partner in NASHILL, Inc., a governmental and public affairs consulting firm that provides services to local governments and to firms that work with governments. She founded the firm with former Gwinnett County Commission Chairman, Wayne Hill, after retiring in 2004 from a 27-year career with Gwinnett County government.
The positions held by Nash with Gwinnett County include County Administrator, Chief Financial Officer and Budget Manager. In 2003, Nash was awarded the inaugural Public Service Award for county appointed official by Georgia Trend Magazine and the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Earlier in her career, Nash also worked as an accountant with the Georgia Department of Human Resources.
During her service with Gwinnett County, Nash was involved in planning, financing and managing major infrastructure improvements in all areas of the County’s responsibilities. She has extensive experience in local land use decisions, transportation management and environmental protection. Additionally, Nash participated active in expanding the County’s park system, including the development and implementation of its Open Space and Greenways Plan.
Nash is involved in the community through a variety of organizations, including: the Rotary Club of Gwinnett, the Gwinnett County Recreation Authority, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, United Way Women’s Legacy, Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation, Leadership Gwinnett and the Regional Atlanta Civic League. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors for a newly formed community bank, Republic Bank of Georgia. Nash is also a lifetime member of the Georgia Master 4-H Club, reflecting the major role that 4-H had in her childhood and teenage years.
Nash received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia. She and her husband, Michael, live less than a mile from Charlotte’s childhood home on a chicken farm in the Harbins Community south of Dacula. They have two children and four grandchildren.
