Alton W. Knight is a CPA and partner in the firm of Erwin, Knight & Cook, CPAs of Griffin. He was appointed to the GRTA Board in 2003. A Certified Financial Planner and Registered Investment Adviser, Knight earned his BBA in accounting from Valdosta State University and his Masters of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. Before joining Erwin, Knight & Cook, Knight was a Partner in Mauldin & Jenkins, CPA’s, had his own firm, and taught accounting at Macon College in Macon, Georgia.

Knight is active in civic organizations in his hometown of Griffin, where his is a member of the Griffin Chamber of Commerce, the Griffin Historical Society, The Griffin Rotary Club, the Griffin/Spalding Development Council and serves as the chairman of the Spalding County Republican Party. He is married to Annette S. Knight and they have three children, David W. Knight, Mark A. Knight, and Pamela A. Knight.
