Future Xpress Routes and Park & Ride Lots
The 2003 Xpress operations plan calls for implementing more than 37 routes by the year 2010. At present, the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) and its partner county governments have 15 routes in operation. GRTA implements new routes as new coaches arrive and park & ride lots become available either through construction or lease agreements. The Georgia Department of Transportation is responsible for constructing park & ride lots for Xpress operations. Here is the status of new routes planned in the next year and of park & ride lots:
Route 400 Cumming
| Description: | This Forsyth County route is operating from a temporary lot on Castleberry Road in Cumming and serves North Springs, Perimeter Center and downtown Atlanta. |
| Location: | A new lot is under construction in the western corner of the intersection of GA 400 and GA 20. Click here for photo. |

| Projected to Open: | Fall 2007 |
Route 422 Panola Road
Route 428 Panola Road
| Description: | New routes operating from South DeKalb County. Route 422 will serve downtown Atlanta. Route 428 will serve Doraville and Perimeter Center areas. |

Route 432 Stockbridge
| Description: | New Henry County route to serve downtown Atlanta. |
| Location: | In the northeast corner of the intersection of I-75 and GA 138 (Stockbridge Road). Click here for photo. |

Route 442 Riverdale
| Description: | New Clayton County route to downtown Atlanta. |

Route 470 Hiram-Powder Springs
| Description: | Route operated by Cobb Community Transit from Hiram and Powder Springs to downtown Atlanta. |
